Fall Enrollment in Bern & Basel

Fall enrollment begins:

  • in Bern starting August 24 (until we’re full)
  • Update 8/25 – ONLY FAVORITE BRANDS NOW; please no H&M, C&A, etc.!
  • Except for sizes 50/56, we can still accept everything.
  • In Basel starting August 31 (until we’re full)

Winter Drop-Off

Starting September 28—please wait until then to bring winter jackets, ski suits, etc.

The following conditions apply to drop-offs:

  • A maximum of one bag per person
  • Clothing must be clean, freshly washed, stain-free, and in good condition
  • We only accept our favorite brands and comparable brands

Our acceptance policy focuses on the favorite brands listed below and comparable labels. Please understand that we cannot accept other brands.

General Rules for Accepting Items:

Children’s Clothing Sizes 44–152

Adult Clothing

Shoes Sizes 18–34 / 35–42

We accept your items for sale only if they are clean and undamaged.

We sort your items and reserve the right to return those that are unsuitable.

Summer season: Acceptance begins in February for spring and summer items (date to be announced) Winter season: Acceptance begins in August for fall and winter items (date to be announced)

Terms and Conditions:

Items must be clean and in perfect condition. Unfortunately, we cannot accept damaged or dirty items.

Clothing must not be more than 5 years old.

Adult clothing: We only accept organic brands, sustainably produced items, etc.

We reserve the right to donate clothing at any time without consulting the customer.

The Jules Unique clothing exchange sells items on behalf of the customer.

For items sold, the customer receives 40% of the sale price; 60% remains the property of Jules Unique. Items sold for CHF 5 or less go directly to Jules Unique.

The credit can be claimed during business hours.

The credit must be claimed at least once between November and January 31. Any unclaimed credit will be transferred in full to Jules Unique during the first week of February.

The selling price is set by Jules Unique. In the interest of all parties, Jules Unique strives to set a fair price. The selling price is based on the item’s original value and amounts to approximately 30–50% of that value, depending on the brand and condition of the item.

Jules Unique disclaims all liability for any items accepted for sale. No insurance (against fire, theft, etc.) is taken out for the merchandise.

We do not accept “high-end” brands such as Armani, Prada, etc.

We do not accept "cheaply" produced clothing (Aldi, Lidl, etc.) .

Items are placed in the store for 2–6 months, depending on the season and demand. If the store shelves are full, a temporary halt on accepting new items will be announced. Unsold merchandise will be donated without notifying the customer. (Ostmission or local charities such as Solinetz Bern)

The customer has no right of return.

Sale: Jules Unique reserves the right to reduce the price of merchandise at any time.
